Hi all! I'm C.C., a preschool admin turned editor.

I am so excited to finally work towards one of my greatest passions. For the last 5 years, I worked as a preschool admin, focusing on event planning and literacy building. I was freelancing on the side, but after being accepted into grad school, I decided to go full force with editing and school.

I specialize in editing adult romance of all genres, offering formatting, developmental editing, and copy editing. I would love to know more about others here!

    Hi C.C.

Welcome to the EFA and the BIPOC affinity group. Feel fee to browse and ask question. I highly recommend joining the EFA Discord. It's an active community of EFA members and a great resource of guidance and help.

Hi C.C.! Welcome! Your journey sounds so interesting. I love that you went from preschool admin and literacy building into editing full-time.

My own route into editing actually started with loving novels as a kid. That love for reading eventually turned into wanting to help authors make their stories stronger. I mainly work in developmental editing, copyediting, proofreading, and manuscript evaluation, with romance, fantasy, and mystery/thriller being some of my favourite areas.

    It's lovely to meet you!

Hi C.C., welcome 🥳 . I'm relatively new here and have loved the webinars, the convos in the Discord, and being connected via the various affinity chapters. Like you, I have a background in literacy. I taught elementary school forever ago, supporting kids who were below level in reading. I was also an ELA administrator and later on an instructional coach supporting reading programs. I've had other careers in the interim, including becoming a traditionally published middle grade novelist. Publishing is a challenging field, so I decided to add on another challenge and become a new freelancer in the age of AI, lol!
