Many freelance editors flinch, groan, or even feel fear when they think about taxes. A lot of the dread comes from not understanding all the rules and requirements and being afraid of making mistakes.

This 90-minute webinar will help you understand the basics of federal taxes for freelancers in the United States so you can make smart tax decisions. You’ll learn about the self-employment tax, whether you need to pay taxes quarterly, and how to calculate the amount due and make payments. We'll also cover how to avoid tax penalties and reduce the amount you owe.

This information will be particularly beneficial for editors who are new to freelancing, freelancers who want to reduce their tax liability, and anyone who wants to better understand U.S. federal tax requirements for freelancers. With the knowledge you gain from this session, your fear of taxes will be replaced with peace of mind.

Students in Suzy's first webinar say...

Comprehensive course on common-sense subjects, but including valuable practical information and tools/tips. I will take away not just food for thought, but actionable next steps. —A.S.

I learned a few things from this to add to my toolbox. Great approach. Engaging a financial planner to help me with savings and other retirement accounts as we speak, so again thank you for that guidance. —N.T.
