Join us for an informative discussion on the challenges and opportunities in the current landscape for LGBTQ+ folks, as well as how they navigate being proud of their identity and advocating for themselves when it can affect their job. 

This year's panelists: 

A.E. Williams (he/him)

My name is A.E. Williams, and I'm the owner of A.E. Williams Editorial, a Black, LGBTQ+ owned and operated editorial firm headquartered in Atlanta, GA. We have edited for indie authors around the globe and several publishing houses including Kensington Books; Human Kinetics; Mango Media Publishing; Wordeee; and Hachette Book Group (a Big 5 publisher).

Dr. Sophia Walker (she/her) 

Sophia Walker is an editor and writing coach specializing in academic and nonfiction writing. As owner of Swallowtail Editorial Services, she works with authors who prioritize clear, nuanced, complex writing that likewise highlights their voice, values, and mission. Sophia earned her PhD from the University of Chicago in transnational media and literature and lives on the beautiful south coast of New South Wales, Australia.

Bri Little (she/her)

Bri Little is a D.C.-raised poet, journalist, copyeditor, and artist living on occupied Duwamish land. She enjoys highlighting the vibrant contributions of people of color to Seattle's arts scene. When she isn't writing or helping other writers shine, she's on the couch with a book and her cat, or tier-ranking sparkling water brands.
