We're so happy you've decided to join the EFA community!

The EFA offers multiple types of memberships to choose from. Please review the descriptions below to find the one that's right for you. Then, scroll down and select it on the menu at the bottom of the page.

Professional—You have been working in the editorial field, in whatever your profession is (copyeditor, proofreader, writer, etc.), for three or more years.

Emerging Professional —You have been working in the editorial field, in whatever your profession is (copyeditor, proofreader, writer, etc.), for less than three years.

Developing Country—You reside full time in a developing country as defined by the United Nations .

Student—You are a matriculated student in a current course of study and are interested in working in the editorial field.

Lifetime—You would like to join an exclusive club and be an EFA member in perpetuity, without having to renew your membership.

Emeritus—You are a longtime EFA member who is retired or retiring from your profession but wishes to remain part of the EFA community.

Guest—You are not yet ready to join the EFA as a full member, but would like to take courses and webinars, attend events, and/or join our guest mailing list.
