I’m Heather, a detail devotee with a Certificate in Copyediting from UC San Diego, an MEd focused on literacy, a BA in Literature, and experience since 2017 editing fiction, business, and academic texts (using Chicago, AP, and house styles). I keep a watchful eye on the big picture when I edit, but I specialize in the details, focusing on accuracy, clarity, and consistency while checking grammar, spelling, punctuation, and much more.
As a former lit major, I have a warm reading nook in my heart for fiction. Some of my favorite genres to edit and read are YA/NA, literary, romance, mystery, historical, and speculative.
