Great ideas! The mastermind-type sessions sound like an interesting concept too.
Here's a couple more topics:
1) Coaching and alternative forms of editorial feedback
2) Regional differences in the publishing industry and trends (this sort of goes with Ash's third idea, but with a wider scope)

Thank you Sam,
I like all of these ideas. I'll add on a few more.
1) Navigating currency fluctuations and regional pricing. One of the hardest parts of global freelancing is deciding whether to price based on where you live or where the client lives.
2) Which platforms (Wise, Payoneer, Stripe, etc.) are currently offering the lowest fees and fastest transfers for your specific region?
3) What is "hot" in your corner of the world right now? (e.g., The rise of Nordic Noir vs. the boom in South Asian speculative fiction).
4) Preventing the "Freelancer's Guilt" of always being available. When your clients are in every time zone, your phone can buzz at 3:00 AM. How do you communicate your availability to a client who is 10 hours ahead of you without sounding "unhelpful"?
5) How do you incorporate time off into your business model when you don't have a team to cover for you?

A test and a trial for the new website!
We talked about creating a list/survey around topics and themes for upcoming meetings during the last Zoom.
We can then have chats in Discord around these topics for a few weeks each time.
To get the ball rolling:
1) AI (tools, ethics, and concerns)
2) Finding and retaining clients (always popular!)
3) Onboarding/project wrap ideas and tips
4) Midyear/End-of-Year reflection and planning
5) Making best use of EFA and other directory entries (tips and tricks!)
Feel free to add more! I think a mastermind-type session every few months could also be helpful. 1–3 members could submit business problems, and we can help brainstorm solutions.
