Bio

Lost Art Editing developed out of my love for storytelling and its power to move us, change us. I taught English as a Second Language courses at the university level for many years which only enhanced my love for people’s individual stories born in many cultures and many countries. I love working with writers who dare themselves and readers to be adventurers, to take chances, to better themselves through language and stories. I am a big fan of all forms of creative storytelling—fiction and nonfiction. Digging into sentence structure, character development, pacing, world-building, dialogue, plot, point of view, and a writer’s unique voice is exciting to me. I also love helping writers use grammar and mechanics in ways that serve their stories best. Each manuscript is unique and I approach all projects with respect, confidentiality, and a passion for language, author goals, and the needs of the story. When I’m not editing, I travel, hike, garden, and write a few stories of my own. I’m also a photographer, in love with the natural world and all the stories it holds.
