Sumedha Kshirsagar

Bio

I am a nonfiction developmental and line editor. I help writers translate complex ideas into engaging narratives.

My interdisciplinary background—engineering and animation research, language technology and user experience design, product management and strategy development—has shaped my thoughtful approach to written communication. It has taught me that meaningful and lasting impact can be achieved by building logically strong arguments and translating complex ideas into engaging narratives. This perspective has fueled my collaboration with nonfiction book authors across a range of topics: spiritual and financial self-help, education strategy, corporate leadership, product management, and evolution of democracy

Developmental editing: strengthening the big-picture elements — core messaging, logical flow, argument, structure, and narrative pace — with the reader in mind

Line editing: enhancing sentence level readability by addressing complexity, verbosity, abstraction, and word choice

Genres: STEM, academic, popular science, business, leadership, self-help
