Bio

Hello there! I’m Cyndi and I live in Upstate South Carolina. I’m a voracious reader and I love words. You know those people who want to learn about everything? Yeah, that’s me! I’ve had careers ranging from graphic design to crime lab analysis to wildlife rehabilitation to medical transcription. My hobbies include riding horses, watercolor painting, and watching NFL football, and I’ve even tried basket weaving and beekeeping. I bring this varied background to my freelance copyediting career.

Do you have a novel that needs a professional eye? Short and sweet or long and detailed, new or experienced writer, I can help you make sure your message is clearly understood by your readers. I’m committed to making my clients look good. I offer copyediting, proofreading, beta reading, as well as transcription services. Fiction genres include paranormal, fantasy, romance, cozy mystery, and thriller, including YA. I also do medicolegal editing/proofreading. I'm happy to do a sample edit of 1000-1500 words so we can see if we're a good fit for each other, so send me an email and we'll get started!

I also offer subject-matter expert consultations on crime lab procedures and techniques, horse care and riding (Western, trail), wildlife rehabilitation (primarily birds), and martial arts (taekwondo, jiujitsu, basic self-defense). You can sign up for a 60-minute consultation here: https://calendly.com/cyndi-sanduskyeditorial/60min.
