My work focuses on the intersection of scientific research, writing, and editorial assessment. I bring three perspectives to every manuscript — researcher, writer, and editor — drawn from my experience as a researcher with a PhD in Chemistry, a medical writer in clinical research, and a journal editor at BMC Medicine. I assess what the research claims, how it is communicated, and how a journal editor is likely to react on first read.
I specialize in helping authors clarify argument, structure, contribution, and scientific communication. My core service is the Pre-Submission Assessment, a structured editorial evaluation that helps clinical and public health researchers understand how their manuscript will be read and where to focus during revision.
As part of the assessment, I evaluate how to frame the manuscript's contribution and clinical relevance most effectively for the target journal.
I work primarily with manuscripts in medicine, public health, and clinical research, including interdisciplinary work such as randomized controlled trials, epidemiological studies, and arts-in-health research.
