How do we go about joining?

Hi Rita, you are already a registered member of the BIPOC Affinty group on the website. You would just need to join the Discord by going to the #join channel and reacting to the BIPOC Affinity Group option to be assigned the role. That will give you access to the BIPOC Discord. The Slack that was being used previously is no longer the official portal of communication for the BIPOC Affinity Group. Look forward to seeing you at tomorrow's meeting.

I would some actionable strategies for working with authors who may not be up on the current discourse around race and identity. For example, developing onboarding protocols that will show red flags; how to set boundaries with clients to prevent the emotional labor of getting them up to speed on conscious language; providing feedback that addresses problematic issues directly but does not alienate authors.
