Editing is a big business, and not every editor will be suited to or want to provide every
service. But there’s a lot to choose from, so how do we narrow it down?

In this presentation, we’ll explore how to find our NICHE within the editing world, with
NICHE standing for our:

 Natural talents—the things we’re good at and develop through practice
 Interests—the topics, activities, and work we enjoy
 Characteristics—the attributes and qualities that make up our personalities
 Heart—the guiding principles that drive our decisions
 Environment—the marketing sphere where we’ll display our niche

After defining the NICHE framework, we’ll discover how other editors have used this in
their marketing to build their business with a list of dream clients and projects. By the
end of the program, you’ll feel confident that you can find editorial work that fulfills you
and keeps your business running.
