Hello, I'm Lindsey. I'm a fiction editor who specializes in fantasy and science fiction.
Speculative fiction has unique challenges like world-building, advanced technologies, complex magic systems, and new races. It's a genre with epic storylines, often spanning multiple books and generating elaborate mythologies. I help authors bring these stories to life.
In particular, supporting independent authors is my passion. I understand the hurdles self-publishers face. A well-worded and polished manuscript establishes legitimacy and inspires confidence in readers. An editor who is a good fit makes all the difference.
I have an ACES/Poynter Institute intermediate copy editing certificate and education through the EFA. My experience centers on indie publishing with an unrelated background in genetic research and medicine. New to freelance editing, I am dedicated to using my skills and knowledge to support fiction writers.
