Craft books and magazines: Good craft writing makes anybody feel capable of creating. I help makers inspire their readers by honoring their voice while making sure instructions are clear and easy to follow. Subjects I’ve worked on include knitting, sewing, weaving, spinning, art journaling, cooking, gardening, and more. I am a lifelong crafter myself and I love helping others work with their hands.
Fiction and narrative nonfiction: Nothing can top an absorbing story. I help authors keep their readers immersed by tending to the details that bring stories to life, from line edits that help the story flow to copy edits that keep plot points and characters consistent. My favorite genres include fantasy, romance, memoir, and personal essays—but I love to work on a good read in any genre.
