Im an Author Accelerator Book Coach, certified in fiction, nonfiction, and memoir.I have a soft spot for stories set in the American south, and I love to work with memoir, creative nonfiction, historical fiction, mystery, suspense, Christian fiction, young adult, and womens fiction.Much of my editing style is asking the questions that clarify the authors intent, pointing them to the heart of their story, and bringing their distinctive voices to life. My eclectic taste in reading gives me broad knowledge in multiple genres. My mission is not to change your writing voice, but to make it the clearest, strongest, most compelling voice possible.Ive been helping writers meet their goals for more than twenty years throughContent editing and developmental critiqueWork-in-progress coachingInteractive writing classes and workshopsI also help with queries, synopses, and cover copy.Ive worked in corporate public relations, adult education, and non profit agencies, helping them produce newsletters and other communication tools to get their message to the public.Since its inception in 1996, I have served as Program Coordinator for the annual Blue Ridge Writers Conference in north Georgia.Ive been published in a variety of journals and reviews including the Southern Humanities Review, the Concho River Review, the Chattahoochee Review, and the Journal of Kentucky Studies.Originally from Texas, I graduated from Baylor University as a journalism and English major. I now live in the Appalachians with my Georgia-born husband where I support the local library and literacy efforts, hoard books, needlepoint, and obsess over the daily Wordle.I love working with writers, and I look forward to reading your work.
