I love making great ideas accessible through indexes. I index books with accuracy and thoroughness. I do not write or edit books - I work collaboratively to support those who do.
I have an MLIS and an undergraduate degree in Classics. Early in my career I worked in the medical field, but moved into the cultural heritage sector as a conservator of library and archival collections. Now I work as an indexer.
I’ve trained in indexing through UC Berkeley Extension and Library Juice Academy. I’m active in the American Society for Indexing and am a member of several special interest groups. I’m also a member of the Publishing Professionals Network.
I can work with any publisher requirements for index formatting. I will default to Chicago Manual of Style if an author or publisher has no preference.
