I worked for NY- and LA-based publishing houses as Editorial Director. I acquired books, managed a team of over 20 people, and oversaw the editorial process from concept to print for over 60 titles a year. As well as spearheading four publishing startups, I have run Editorial Services of L.A. since 2001. I was Editorial/Publishing Director for Golden Books, Price Stern Sloan/PRH, Intervisual Books, and Gateway Learning Corp (Hooked on Phonics). Pub & EIC for the just-shuttered New York Journal of Books.
I've had 37 books published across a wide range of genres and ages, including several award-winners and bestsellers. I wrote the CODE BLUE series of four YA novels and the bestselling and oft-translated THE TWINS OF AUSCHWITZ: THE INSPIRING TRUE STORY OF A YOUNG GIRL SURVIVING MENGELE’S HELL. I have written board books, novelty books, picture books, and two adult nonfiction titles including WRITING CHILDREN’S BOOKS FOR DUMMIES, now in its 3rd ed.
I offer editing to writers of all levels, specializing in children's lit, adult fiction, memoirs, and general nonfiction. I welcome all writers and offer need-based discounts.
