I don't believe that editing is just correcting things. Rather, editing should be there to enhance the best parts of your writing. That's why I concentrate on clarity, consistency, and conciseness as my three editing cornerstones. I’m a copyeditor through and through. I work to enhance readability through grammar and punctuation changes so your story gets across as clearly as possible. Because copyediting can be performed without specialized genre knowledge, I have had the pleasure of working on a wide range of projects. These include romances, memoirs, fantasy novels, nonfiction works, and shorter projects such as short stories, blogs, essays, and book proposals.
I'm also a believer that all writers have the ability to (and should) perform basic self-editing on their works. That's why I make sure writers can learn from my edits, so they don't get stuck relying on an editor for every future comma. A cleaner manuscript means your editor can look deeper into the text to truly make it shine and bring out everything it can be. If you want more than an edit, then I might be the editor for you.
