Welcome to the LGBTQ+ affinity group!
MISSION STATEMENT
To provide a community space for members of the LGBTQ+ community within the EFA. We aim to help members connect with and uplift each other, as well as provide knowledge, tools, and resources to help members reach their freelance and editorial goals.

COORDINATORS
Ley Taylor Johnson (she/they): Ley is a developmental fiction editor and writing coach specializing in SFF, romance, and horror. She has worked as a freelance editor for five years and works primarily with indie authors. She is the author of How to Write a Dynamic Act One and How to Write a Compelling Act Two and serves as the secretary for the Editors Tea Club.
Ley identifies as queer and bisexual, and lives in Oregon with her husband and cat. When she's not editing, she can be found writing, reading, and playing D&D.
William Ortiz (he/him): William has worked as a freelance developmental editor for 3 years, working with fiction (sci-fi, fantasy,
mystery) and nonfiction (memoir, creative nonfiction, short story). He has a deep passion for connecting stories with audiences and hopes to one day compose an anthology of short stories authored by queer writers. William lives in New York City with
his boyfriend where he enjoys cozy games, home improvement projects, and experimenting with coffee beverages. Terra Hoy (they/them, he/him): Terra is passionate about personal storytelling, healthcare administration, social justice, nonprofits, and education. They hope to someday be able to edit memoirs full time. When they're not editing or working as an admin, they're wrangling a toddler, spending time with their wife, or geeking out over something nerdy (currently: Silksong).
