I am the author of ten critically acclaimed and occasionally best-selling non-fiction books, including one as co/ghost-writer. As a journalist, I have hundreds of magazine articles behind me (from Newsday features to WSJ front-cover book reviews), and have edited, sub-edited and copy-edited books and magazines extensively throughout my own freelance career. I also have a successful Substack, and have written or narrated several podcasts. In short, I fully understand the writing process – and that has frequently included the setbacks and frustrations that are part of every writer’s lot. My desire at EFA is to help other writers be the best they can be, whether it be assisting with concepts, proposals, research, development, writing, readthroughs, or the finer points of editing. While I specialize in areas of music and popular culture, biography and memoir, I have a wide knowledge and appreciation of anthropology, travel and global affairs.
