I work with nonprofit health and social justice organizations to compile the writing of multiple people into a cohesive document. I ensure messages do not contradict each other, and I correlate cited material and data. In my public health career, I wrote progress reports, issue briefs, grant applications, and proposals. My edits address relics of the patriarchy; it is an approach that applies not only to word choice but to whole documents. I have edited reports on topics relevant to Black women's health, legislative agendas for national organizations, and summaries of nongovernmental organizations conferences. I have edited books and textbooks for independent authors and publishers on craftivism, virtual meetings, personal finance, and physical activity (equity, inclusion, and diversity; yoga; dance; race studies; biochemistry; and more). Before opening my editing business, I worked in public health directorial positions at state health agencies and national nonprofit associations. My primary subject matter expertise was in physical activity, tobacco use prevention, and chronic disease. I earned my professional editing certificate from the University of Chicago, where I extensively studied the Chicago Manual of Style. I also use APA. I took a specialized course on editing biostatistics. Show your donors and members what your organization has accomplished! Find me at https://www.ebeforei.xyz/.
