I'm a copyeditor and proofreader, a beta reader, and a word nerd. I came to copyediting after years of practicing law. As a lawyer, I wrote and edited legal briefs and motions for the court. I took a special interest in my clients and helped them to understand the complexities of litigation. Before practicing law, I scrutinized business practices and wrote reports about those businesses for investors. My attention to detail saved clients money and helped win cases. I have a certificate in copyediting from UC San Diego Extended Studies. Like most editors, I read vociferously across genres. I offer copyediting, beta reading, and proofreading services to authors and publishers of fiction and nonfiction. I also provide copyediting services to businesses.
