Heyo! I'm Jenna (she/they), a line and copy editor specializing in literary and speculative fiction by newbie authors. If you're looking to self-publish or go indie, I'm here for that too! I also do aromantic/asexual authenticity reads for a wide range of genres.

I take a growth-focused approach to editing--I'm careful to walk you through the reasons behind my edits and explain patterns that I've noticed. For those who want the extra guidance, I also offer a detailed craft letter outlining two or three points of craft that, based on your manuscript, you seem ready to tackle the deeper layers of. Think of it like a personalized craft study guide.

I edit a range of speculative fiction genres, such as soft sci-fi and low fantasy, and especially love anything with a healthy dose of social discourse. If your story has lots of motifs and thematic elements going on, I'm the kind of editor who's ready to dig into those and make sure they're sharp.

Genres that are not a good fit include romance, religious, erotica, and horror. I'm a low-spice kind of editor, so on-page sex and steamy plots are a no-go for me.

I'm always looking for more ways to keep my services affordable, accessible, and socially-conscious. If you're interested in a sample edit or have any questions, feel free to reach out!
