Easy reading is hard writing! I've been called the Good Cop of Grammar because I don't believe editing has to be scary or scarring for the author. I believe the author should learn from the process and have the final say in their work. I am a freelance specialized romance and fantasy copyeditor and proofreader, but happy to work in any fiction genre. I have worked with indie authors, Kensington Books, Macmillan, and Hachette, and I just finished collaborating on a self-editing curriculum for the Romance Writers of America. I have a copyediting certificate from the University of California, San Diego. Prior to becoming an editor, I was a University of Georgia Teaching and Research Assistant with a long-standing background in the Horticulture industry. I conducted research trials and edited and published several research scientific papers. Furthermore, I assisted in curriculum development and instruction for college-level courses.
