Hello! I'm a queer writer, editor, and educator based in Oakland, CA. I’m currently the 2025 Poetry Fellow for Miami Book Fair, and for the past seven years I served as managing editor of a national print magazine that publishes the writing and artwork of incarcerated youth. I'm a poetry editor and first reader for several small presses, as well as the newsletter producer for the EFA Bay Area Chapter. I hold an MFA in creative writing from California Institute of the Arts and a Certificate in Editing from ACES/Poynter Institute.
As an interdisciplinary writer trained across genres, I center my editing practice in a translingual approach, which deprioritizes the standardization of language and instead asks what language and form can do for the writer to best serve and communicate their intentions. I love to collaborate with writers at any stage of development, and I’m well-versed in the world of small-press publishing. My specialized interests include poetry, memoir, essay and creative non-fiction, academic writing, and manuscript evaluation.
